Through more than 800 authorized private lenders, backed by the SBA itself, this federal entity offers forgivable financing programs, as long as the business owner uses the money according to the usage guidelines.
The SBA has made the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) available to affected small businesses, a fully forgivable loan if the small business owner uses it to cover payroll expenses, pay the mortgage or rent of the business and public services, such as water, Internet, electricity, etc. After correctly using the money in question and through a payment forgiveness request, the business can obtain the forgiveness of the loan granted.

Briefing Overview
This industry briefing is scheduled for 40 minutes maximum and will address best practices for avoiding claims of discrimination, wrongful discharge and other employment related claims. Leaders at federal contractors often find out in court that the rules on employee relations apply to them, despite who they are or what they do. Attendees will learn specific tactics and scripts to handle sensitive employee relations with good judgement and high confidence. Not training leaders results in employers losing expensive lawsuits. Compliance training, telling leaders “what not to do,” results in employers settling some and winning most lawsuits. Losing, settling and winning lawsuits are all regrettable experiences. This practical training, focusing leaders on “what to do,” keeps employers out of court.
Recommended for leaders at federal contractors (prime and sub), HR Professionals and business owners.
About the Speaker
Michael J. Mirarchi is recognized as a leading expert in employment-related lawsuit prevention. As an Employee Relations Counselor, he is dedicated to helping employers stay litigation-free. Drawing from over 30 years of experience in employment and labor law, as an employer defense attorney and as a Human Resources Vice President, he developed a unique litigation-avoidance program. Through it, leaders acquire increased practical knowledge and a high level of confidence in addressing employee relations issues. He has presented his “Reset the Clock” program over 1,200 times to more than 30,000 leaders at employer facilities across North America. Mr. Mirarchi believes that the vast majority of leaders want to exercise their abilities with fairness, integrity and professionalism. Nevertheless, if you lead people long enough, there are plenty of opportunities to run into potential liability situations. In these situations, leaders who know what to do and how to do it have a tremendous advantage over those who don’t, in avoiding lawsuits. Mr. Mirarchi has a B.S. in Business Administration and a Law Degree from Seton Hall University.
